Elsie Anna Pask, age 95, of Appleton, entered into eternal life with her family by her side on Wednesday, December 21, 2016, at Heritage Hospice. Elsie was born in Medford, WI on April 3, 1921, to the late Henry and Frieda (Clausnitzer) Leuthy. She was raised on a dairy farm in Medford. After graduating high school, Elsie moved to Chicago where she held a variety of jobs including office work at Techny Missionairies and assembly at Bell and Howell. During WWII, she assembled aircraft at Douglas Aircraft in Chicago, a true “Rosie the Riveter.” She was united in marriage to Clifford Pask. The couple enjoyed many years together until his passing in 1999. Together they raised two sons, moving to Niles, IL then later to Greenville, WI. Elsie loved doing cross-stitching, embroidery, and being active with her loving neighbors.
She will be missed by her two sons: Jerome Pask, Greenville and Richard (Dorothy) Pask, Hortonville; 4 step-grandchildren; 14 step great grandchildren, and 1 step great-great grandchild; and a sister, Emma Kasparek, Medford, WI. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Pask, parents Henry and Frieda Leuthy, sisters and brother: Lydia (Clement) Kleutch, Walter Leuthy, Clara (Fred) Emstrom; brother-in-law Louis Kasparek;and loving older half brothers: Frank, Paul, Emil, Herman, Otto, Friedrich, William, and Carl Schmeiser and their spouses.
A funeral service will take place at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 27, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel. Friends and relatives may visit at the funeral chapel on Tuesday from 11 am until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
