Every year thousands of area children grieve the loss of a parent, grandparent, a friend or loved one. The Center for Grieving Children is a safe place for children, teens and their families to find compassionate peer support, engage in commemorative activities, gain information about the grieving process, and express feelings and experiences in an accepting environment. Programing is provided at no charge to children, ages 3 - 18, and the adults who care for them. See the Family Night and Teen pages for monthly schedules. Camp HOPE is a weekend camp where children and teenagers can gather to work through the grieving process after a loved one dies. It is a wonderful place in central Wisconsin where children and teenagers gather to work through the grieving process after a loved one dies. The camp gently guides the children and teenagers through the complex emotions by showing them that they are not alone. Fun is the top priority. Through playing, sharing and being together with peers and staff, the children and teenagers know their pain is understood and shared. No fee.

Camp Lloyd is a week long day camp from 8:30 am - 4:00 pm for grieving children, ages 7 - 14, held at the Mauthe/Ecumenical Center on the beautiful University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus. The camp is filled with fun activities such as arts and crafts, music, games, swimming and hiking. It is also a time for campers to explore their own experiences of grief, find support from each other and realize that their feelings are normal. The Camp Lloyd staff consists of professional grief counselors and trained student interns from the UW-Green Bay.
